I wanted a real make clean,Fender sound for my guitar rig (and recordings), I couldn't compare pedals, so I read reviews and bought a Joyo Clean Glass, to meet if it would do the fob.

Pros: Very Small, Knobs stay in place, High Build quality
Cons: If you use high output pickups, you lot can crusade spikes on your peaks (clipping)
Tone Control barely changes your tone (only in High proceeds settings will y'all notice the high stop roll off it does. If you run the pedal for clean, the tone control does nothing.
Voice control simply pushes or pulls out mids. Unit REQUIRES external power supply, doesn't have a battery. As well: this unit seems to play poorly with others. A slight grittiness was noted when it was in front of or behind another pedal (Joyo Air conditioning Tone and/or Tech21 Liverpool).

Verdict: I will return it because, I need a clean audio and if I selection hard ,this affair clips. Furthermore, I have Tech21 Liverpool and as well a Joyo AC Tone, and both tin practice a ameliorate "make clean" fender if I wrangle the knobs enough. My search for a serious Fender Clean pedal goes on (Fender dirt is like shooting fish in a barrel, but a good, loud clean fender sound with serious tone possibilities is nevertheless on my to-do listing).

I assume you've tried the JOYO American Audio.
I came upon this postal service via a search where I was wondering how people perceived the difference betwixt the Ironman (Clean Glass) and the American Audio. I take the American Audio and like the tone very much (Blackface thru Tweed Dlx) merely I must employ a noise suppressor to remove the 'hiss' and was wondering if there was whatever 'hiss' from the Clean Glass. (I besides have the Air-conditioning Tone as well as a 2d American Sound and all iii 'hiss', peculiarly every bit the "voice' and "bulldoze" knobs are increased.)

I did read your mail service on the Rushing Train/Liverpool/AC Tone comparison. No mention there of 'hiss'?

As towards the hiss: I only noticed hiss when the pedals are pushed to extremes. Like the Voice knob. It happens on the Joyo American Sound, The Joyo Air-conditioning Tone, The Joyo Rushing Train,Clean Glass and even on the Tech21 Liverpool I own. But my needs may be unlike than your,I gauge,' and I dont run any of these pedal that farthermost. In addition, I use emg active pickups so I have very piffling dissonance ,and hiss for my applications. I record ALOT, besides..and with moderate gain/Vox manipulation I haven't had any issues. I am wondering how you use these pedals..If I knew that maybe I could be more effective. But for me, and my needs (moderate Vov ac30 proceeds and overdrive, or a clean Fender Blackface sound)....the hiss is not a problem, for me. Please experience gratis to respond.

As towards the hiss: I but noticed hiss when the pedals are pushed to extremes. Like the Voice knob. Information technology happens on the Joyo American Sound, The Joyo Ac Tone, The Joyo Rushing Railroad train,Clean Glass and fifty-fifty on the Tech21 Liverpool I own. Just my needs may be different than your,I guess,' and I dont run whatever of these pedal that extreme. In addition, I utilise emg active pickups so I have very trivial noise ,and hiss for my applications. I record ALOT, too..and with moderate proceeds/Voice manipulation I oasis't had any issues. I do accept occasion to run the pedals' vocalisation and drive elevated at times as mentioned to a higher place (into the tweed realm and crunchy Vocalism sounds). And yes, 'hiss' increases as these controls are raised, simply the 'hiss' is always in that location though quieter at lower levels. The dissonance gate takes intendance of information technology, with but a minor negative touch. I do NOT record and use these pedals as preamps to a Tech 21 Ability Engine lx (actually designed for only this purpose). I play through either humbuckers or filter'trons. Sounds bully, even due west/ the noise gate, but I was just wondering if the Ironman series might convalesce the need for a noise gate. I interpret your response as "No". And so, I'll stick with the original JOYO 'character' pedals (preamps) and a noise gate. I think they're an amazing sound and deal likewise.

Y'all understood me correctly: I do not think you volition find the Ironman series quieter than their older, larger models. I really wish they could improve on that, but I don't expect it will happen . Lets face it: these are cheap chinese copies. They don't innovate, for the well-nigh role. Whereas, Tech21 creates these circuits and doesn't put a gate on them, either (except the American Woman pedal...which is an amazing pedal, btw). Simply for piece of heed, search out some audio of a real ac30 being mic'd up. I call back you volition observe them fairly noisy at higher gain levels. While I respect your pickup choices (Filtertrons Rule!!!) the lesser output WILL contribute to noticing hiss, as you try to push that circuit to that lovely overdrive that sounds and then good. Me: I'm content with my emgs. Merely my slightly lower noise comes at a price: I do lack a lil bit of that authentic vintage sound. Id stick with a dissonance gate and exist happy at that.

Yous understood me correctly: I do not call up you will discover the Ironman series quieter than their older, larger models. I really wish they could improve on that, but I don't expect it will happen . Lets face it: these are inexpensive chinese copies. They don't innovate, for the nigh part. Whereas, Tech21 creates these circuits and doesn't put a gate on them, either (except the American Adult female pedal...which is an amazing pedal, btw). But for piece of mind, search out some sound of a existent ac30 being mic'd up. I think you volition notice them fairly noisy at higher gain levels. Cheers for sharing your experience.
Very true about the 'hiss' from the AC30's and the Fenders besides (especially the Tweeds) at higher gain levels. So, I'll stick w/ the noise gate.

Yes, using Vox Ac30s with gain is a great sound, simply there is quite a fleck of racket. Somewhere on the net you can discover the isolated guitar tracks of Brian May on "Bohemian Rhapsody" ..and man, are they NOISY!!!! But conduct in mind he is using a treble booster to push the input even harder, every bit well. So, its a joyous sound..but Noisy. With a racket gate (preferably a smart gate, that you can set to a expert compromise) you lot should be fine. Seriously, accept yous ever hear someone say "Great band, but I had to walk out...to much hiss from the guys amp" ? Me neither.
